Scout Gaming Group reports 121% increase in Q2 revenue

EBITDA was SEK -13.3m, while net result was SEK -17m. Operator trading index, which illustrates the underlying client activity, increased by 203% to 3255. 

Highlights for the period included Scout Gaming signing an agreement with Interwetten, the launch of fantasy player odds markets with Kaizen Gaming, and the signing of an agreement with Razer Inc for Fantasy eSports.

Revenue for the six months ending June 2021 meanwhile amounted to SEK 27.3m, with EBITDA amounting to SEK -28.2m. Net result was SEK -26.2m, while earnings per share amounted to SEK -1.3.

“Strategically, we strive to optimise our marketing to support long-term growth,” said Scout Gaming Group CEO Andreas Ternström. “We use the start of major events such as the Premier League, Euros or World Cup as aggressive growth-drivers.

“The market leading Norwegian operator Norsk Tipping has soft-launched, in connection to the Premier League start, after the Norwegian government signing a bill allowing real money gambling on fantasy sports products for the Norwegian market. Swedish ATG is expected to launch during the coming months.”
