nd Ireland sportsbook operator Paddy Power Betfair have announced the appointment of Jan Bolz to the post of independent Non- Executive Director, with effect from the 6th September. Bolz, who most recently served as CEO of German sports betting firm Tipico has over twenty-five years of industry experience, having previously held several senior executive roles with Electronic Arts, including that of Vice President of Marketing and Sales for International, and Bertelsmann Music Group as Managing Director of BMG Ariloa Munich. The appointment comes just a month after the company posted a 9% increase in revenue to £827m which it said was ‘driven by good stakes growth’ in which the company’s online revenues grew by 10%. In a statement commenting on Bolz’s appointment, Gary McGann, Chairman of the Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jan as a Non-Executive Director. He brings a wealth of global experience across a number of different industry groups, most recently in the sports betting industry where he led the very progressive development of Tipico to its successful sale in 2016. His background and experience will be of significant benefit to the Board.”
