Mindway AI, DSWV collaborate on self-assessment tool

Rasmus Kjaergaard, Mindway AI CEO, said: “Gamalyze analyses the game behaviour under real-world conditions, namely while the player randomly draws cards with which he either wins or loses money.

“Even if it’s just play money, the personal risk of risky gambling behaviour can be determined much better than with classic questionnaires.”

Mindway AI says that upon completion of the self-assessment, players receive a score and an evaluation of their risk behaviour, accompanied by practical recommendations for modifying their gambling habits.

These recommendations include setting a budget, taking breaks, or utilising winnings for personal rewards. By leveraging neuroscientific insights, Gamalyze scrutinises how players respond to specific stimuli, such as momentary losses or gains.

Recognising the seriousness of the gambling addiction issue, licensed gambling providers in Germany are actively implementing innovative strategies to identify signs of problematic gambling behaviour early on and intervene to mitigate its impact.

“The DSWV is always working with its members and partners to make legal gambling more attractive for customers,” says Mathias Dahms, President of the DSWV. “The fun of the game is what unites us all. Player protection is a central component of this. We are pleased that we can improve player protection in Germany together with Mindway AI and now also make a self-test available to players and interested persons on our homepage.”
