Cordish Gaming Group has appointed Joshua Robinson as VP of Marketing for the new Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, a development set to open in Bossier City in early 2025.

The project, valued at over $270m, will introduce the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market, offering a combination of gaming, dining and entertainment.

Robinson’s appointment involves overseeing the marketing strategies for the venue, including loyalty programs, creative strategies, social media campaigns, advertising, sponsorships, events and guest services. His role will reportedly be crucial in shaping the casino’s market presence and overall promotional approach.

Robinson brings experience in the gaming industry, having previously held positions at several Louisiana casinos. His career includes roles such as CMO at Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Lake Charles, VP of Marketing at L’Auberge Casino Resort and VP of Marketing and Hotel Operations at Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City. 

The Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is expected to generate substantial economic benefits, with projections of $35m in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and over $168m for the state of Louisiana within the first five years of operation. The development is also anticipated to create 1,500 new jobs, contributing approximately $34m in salaries and wages.

The casino will feature over 47,000 square feet of gaming space, including more than 1,000 slot machines, 40 live-action table games and a sportsbook.

In addition to gaming facilities, the property will include a 550-room hotel with a resort pool and fitness centre, a 25,000-square-foot event centre and 30,000 square feet of dining and entertainment venues, such as The Prime Rib Steakhouse and PBR Cowboy Bar.

In July 2024, Cordish Gaming Group named Bryan M Prettyman as SVP of Property Operations and Jamie Williams as Director of Sales. Prettyman, who joined Cordish with over 36 years of experience in the gaming industry, is tasked with developing operational strategies for the new casino.
