This represents the first opening of a BetMGM retail sportsbook in Arizona and Phoenix’s first in-casino sportsbook.
The sports betting and iGaming operator has announced partnerships with Gila Rivers Hotels and Casinos, and the Arizona Cardinals for retail and online sports betting in August, marking BetMGM’s first relationship in the state.
This collaboration focused on the building of custom sportsbooks at each of Gila River’s three properties – Vee Quiva, Wild Horse Pass and Lone Butte.
Along with 20 betting kiosks, the BetMGM Sportsbook at Vee Quiva features 25 large screen displays, a media wall and seating for more than 100 guests. Additionally, the operator is working with the Arizona Cardinals to create a BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium, which is scheduled to open in time for the 2022 NFL season.
