Grosvenor Casinos are running a free drinks promotion for the Chinese New Year.
The offer will grant customers born in the Year of the Dragon one free drink, which includes selected spirits with mixers, beers, wines and soft drinks.
Guests will be required to bring valid ID to prove that they belong to the Year of the Dragon, which includes the years 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, or 2000.
The offer will run for the coming weekend and the next, meaning the 16-17 and 23-24 February.
This will catch both the Chinese New Year celebrations, as well as the Chinese Lantern Festival dates.
Sam Collins, Grosvenor Casinos Operations Director, said, “Chinese New Year is one of our most exciting times of the year and we have lots of offers and quality entertainment to make it a memorable experience for our guests.
“This year we are roaring into action by offering a free drink on the house for anyone born in the Year of the Dragon to end the festivities in style.”
Guests who visit the casino will also be able to take part in an additional promotion with the chance to win cash prizes through daily draws.
The Chinese New Year is the start of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar and marks the end of winter.
Rather than lasting for one day, the festivities will run from the night before the first new moon until the 15th day of the lunisolar calendar.
This day falls on 24 February in the Gregorian calendar, which is when the Chinese Lantern Festival will be held to close the celebrations.
When Rank Group, the parent company of Grosvenor Casinos, released its H1 2023/24 report, it announced that its operating profits were up 198%.
