Through the deal, IGT will provide its PlaySports platform for Boyd Gaming’s retail sportsbook in Nevada, in addition to its mobile sports app and online sports betting in the state.
Boyd Gaming will also deploy PlaySports Kiosks throughout its Nevada venues. Both companies have committed to a phased approach for rolling out the features.
IGT and Boyd Gaming first formed a US sports betting partnership in 2018. Boyd Gaming properties in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Indiana and Mississippi are all currently powered by IGT’s PlaySports platform.
Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President, said: “IGT and Boyd Gaming will create a dynamic omnichannel sports betting product that is sure to stand apart in Nevada, the most mature and high-volume sports betting destination in the US.
“IGT’s PlaySports platform enables Boyd Gaming to differentiate its sports betting product in meaningful ways that position them to attract new players and grow revenue in the segment.”
Earlier this week, IGT also signed a two-year contract extension with the New York Lottery through its subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation.
